It is a great day when Linda Sarsour gets a dose of reality and crumbles before it. Reality is a scary, yet necessary place. President Trump has officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and has ordered the State Department to begin the process of moving the embassy

In a surprising move, the President of the United States fully acknowledged that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel. No more six-month waivers. Congress and the President are in agreement. Jerusalem is in Israel and nowhere else.  While President Trump maintains that the final decision over borders will be between Israel and the Palestinians, this is a clear more which shows where the administration stands.

While his son-in-law is attempting to woo the Palestinians, Hamas is shooting rockets into Israel and rioting in Gaza City. The infamous antisemite Linda Sarsour took to Twitter to state that Donald Trump does not speak for her and many a liberal warned of the dangers of such an action. She, of course, wants to maintain the status quo of Israel and the Palestinians dooking it out for what has always been the capital of the Jewish people. She’s really just cranky the Palestinians can’t fabricate any evidence of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital ever existing.

Trump stated “We cannot solve our problems by making the same failed assumptions and repeating the same failed strategies of the past. Old challenges demand new approaches.” The same old methods have been used in this conflict since the days of Bill Clinton and the 1995 Waiver. Since its passing every six months, Clinton, Bush, and Obama signed this waiver, refusing to move the embassy.  The President continued, “After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. It would be folly to assume that repeating the exact same formula would now produce a different or better result.”

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Thus this move, good or bad, has changed the status quo and could lead to a change in the stalemate of Israeli/Arab peace. “It was 70 years ago that the United States, under President Truman, recognized the State of Israel. Ever since then, Israel has made its capital in the city of Jerusalem — the capital the Jewish people established in ancient times. Today, Jerusalem is the seat of the modern Israeli government. It is the home of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, as well as the Israeli Supreme Court. It is the location of the official residence of the Prime Minister and the President. It is the headquarters of many government ministries.” No other country has had problems getting embassies into their own capital than Israel. Rumor has it that the Czech Republic and a few other nations are considering similar moves.

Not only is this a great move for America and Israel, it is a great move against the legacy left over by Barrack Obama and his often hostile attitude towards Israel and her leaders.

In the wake of this decision, other things are coming out of the woodwork. The UN, once again showing its true face, as it condemned the right of a sovereign nation to choose the location of its own embassy…to which Nikki Haley and Donald Trump said…hm…maybe we ought to rethink this whole funding thing. Despite the bipartisan support for the original decision, people like Linda Sarsour and the average leftist commentator continue to whine about this decision, with Linda accusing the president of bullying the UN. Right. Of course. That’s what’s happening.

This decision did not increase the average amount of violence that Israel faces every year, but this decision might have finally tipped the scales into Israel’s favor, as other countries follow in  America’s example, and nations like Saudi Arabia continue to improve their relations with Israel. The Palestinian facade is slowly coming apart, and time will tell how much damage this will due to their agenda.
