An Obituary printed in the London Times…..Absolutely Dead Brilliant!!

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.

No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

  • – Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
  • – Why the early bird gets the worm;
  • – Life isn’t always fair;
  • – And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death,

  • -by his parents, Truth and Trust,
  • -by his wife, Discretion,
  • -by his daughter, Responsibility,
  • -and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;

  • – I Know My Rights
  • – I Want It Now
  • – Someone Else Is To Blame
  • – I’m A Victim
  • – Pay me for Doing Nothing

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing

The Real Problem in Schools – a High School Teacher’s Perspective

By |2018-02-20T15:54:28+00:00February 20th, 2018|Opinion|

Six of HS students in class today, during the silent moments of meditation for the murdered and injured students in Florida, TALKED through the entire time frame! You think an inanimate object is the problem?! Culture is the problem!!! Our music celebrates drugs, mayhem, rape, murder,  and gangs. Our movies make millions off stories and scenes cameoing crime, gun fights, and murder!  We teach children they can do no wrong then bash the law and order and teach them to hate authority!!! Our society created this!!!

Regarding Internet Neutrality

By |2017-12-13T01:26:07+00:00December 13th, 2017|Opinion|

“Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai just announced his plan to end net neutrality and the FCC will vote on his proposal December 14. This could result in internet service providers like Comcast being able to throttle or block access to content it doesn’t like. It’s never been more important for you to add your name to this petition.

The ability to organize grassroots movements, whether locally or across the globe, is made possible by an open Internet. Since its creation, the Internet has become the world’s megaphone for free speech, protected by the principles of Net Neutrality, which require internet service providers (ISPs) to give everyone equal access to everything you use the internet for — email, watching videos, listening to music, or signing petitions on Change.org.

Without Net Neutrality, ISPs can choose what you see online, favoring some sources or blocking others. For example, if someone launched a petition on Change.org against a company like Verizon, Net Neutrality prevents Verizon from blocking or slowing their customers’ access to our site.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is moving to end Net Neutrality — which could mean giving big cable companies room to charge extra fees, block and censor users — by removing ISPs from Title II of the Communications Act, a rule that means ISPs are subjected to tougher regulations that prevent them blocking sites, creating paid “fast” lanes, and throttling internet speeds. This decision could have global implications for the way the world shares and receives information from journalists, newsrooms, and NGO’s.

Net Neutrality also prevents ISPs from creating paid “fast lanes” that would give faster delivery of content to companies who can afford to pay more. An organization or platform like Change.org that couldn’t afford those fees, couldn’t communicate with their supporters.

In the United States, there is strong bipartisan support for Net Neutrality. A recent poll conducted by Mozilla found that Republicans, Democrats and Independents overwhelmingly support these rules.

At Change.org, we believe that people everywhere should have the tools they need to make their voices heard. We’re a social good company powered by technology that empowers anyone anywhere to take action on the issues they care about. A closed off Internet means fewer ways for millions of people to make the change they want to see.

Without an internet equally accessible to everyone regardless of income or geography, we can’t continue that mission. Add your name to let Congress and the FCC know that you support an open internet.”

From a very concerned American:

I agree 100%. The government has no business regulating the internet. Hands off. Can you imagine the vote fixing slimy politicians could create and the stock market manipulation that could happen if speeds were sold and not offered equally? The world would become a nightmare due to information being manipulated by many.  I can’t imagine the corruption they would create. No, No, No. Leave it alone! It works fine the way it is

Come Have a PC Halloween

Tis the season for spooky decorations, costumes, and kids knocking at your door in droves asking for candy. This is also the season for the return of the SJW police, to make sure kid costumes are culturally sensitive this frightening holiday.  This year it’s not the stereotypical costumes causing a frenzy, it’s Disney princesses. The SJW overlords are here to tell you which costume you are and aren’t allowed to wear based purely on the color of your skin. From the image on the left….there aren’t a lot of options…maybe a ninja…nope…fairy…of course not….um… Robot…but that’ll probably offend someone too.

NJ Farm Store Threatened by Town Government

By |2017-05-21T21:40:09+00:00May 21st, 2017|Economics, Opinion|

Save The Farm

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Demarest Farms and our employees care deeply about the Hillsdale community. I am a longtime resident and most of our employees are Hillsdale residents too. The farm has called Hillsdale home since 1886 but sadly, Demarest Farms’ future is being threatened.
Last year, at the height of our busy season, the Borough of Hillsdale put in place some drastic parking restriction deliberately targeting our customers and our business. This includes closing all public streets around the farm to prevent anyone from parking nearby when our lots become full. We understand the town’s concerns, but despite repeated attempts to find a collaborative compromise, Hillsdale has refused to work with us. The mayor of Hillsdale is a participant of a farm protest group, exerting undue influence over the other elected officials. This protest group, including the mayor, wants to stop visitors from coming to the farm by permanently prohibiting parking on side streets during the ‘pick your own’ season.

Our busy days are limited to weekends and holidays in September and October. We have attempted to address any concerns, by offering to lease parking spots from the Board of Education at the nearby Smith School. This would provide tax relief and/or additional funds for educational programs, and we even offered to assist with snow plowing around the school during the winter months. We also covered the cost of the police needed to provide traffic control and ensure all local parking rules are abided by. Unfortunately, these solutions, along with many others, have been rejected by Hillsdale’s elected officials, demonstrating their lack of regard for the rights of the farm. Rather than work cooperatively, these officials would rather force the farm to seek a resolution of the matter through litigation.

Imagine if the law was changed to prohibit parking near a church or temple because a few people did not like parishioners parking on their street. We believe passing laws that target one specific business is equally unlawful. Suppose the mayor decided he did not like the owner of a small business or he wanted to eliminate competition for a family member or friend. Should he be allowed to put them out of business by changing parking laws near their facility and alienating their customers?

On Thursday June 8, 2017 at 7:30 in Borough Hall, the Mayor and Council will vote to make these extreme and prejudiced parking restrictions permanent. We need your help to ensure all voices are heard on this matter. It is important that elected officials recognize that the views of a small group of people do not reflect the views of the entire community.
I hope to see you at the council meeting and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Demarest Farms and Family

What really died at Auschwitz?

By |2017-05-01T17:48:09+00:00May 1st, 2017|Opinion, Uncategorized|

You know, General Dwight Eisenhower demanded that the horrors they found is these concentration camp be thoroughly documented with written accounts and photos. He believed, and he was 100% correct, that there w/be those in the future who claimed it never happened. Now it’s happening and it’s feared that PC Progressive governments might actually help the “deniers” by removing the records from history curriculum.

What really died at Auschwitz?
(From a Spanish writer’s viewpoint.)

What really died at Auschwitz ? Here’s an interesting viewpoint. The following is a copy of an article written by Spanish writer Sebastian Velar Rodriguez and published in a Spanish newspaper. It doesn’t take much imagination to extrapolate the message to the rest of Europe – and possiblyto the rest of the world.

======================

I walked down the streets in Barcelona and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz . . . We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.

The contribution of these people is felt in all areas of life: science, art, international trade, and above all, as the conscience of the world These are the people we burned.

And under the pretense of tolerance, and because we wanted to prove to ourselves that we were cured of the disease of racism, we opened our gates to 20 million Muslims, who brought us stupidity and ignorance, religious extremism and lack of tolerance, crime and poverty, due to an unwillingness to work and support their families with pride.

They have blown up our trains and turned our beautiful Spanish cities into the third world, drowning in filth and crime. Shut up in the apartments they receive free from the government, they plan the murder and destruction of their naive hosts.

And thus, in our misery, we have exchanged culture for fanatical hatred, creative skill for destructive skill, intelligence for backwardness and superstition. We have exchanged the pursuit of peace of the Jews of Europe and their talent for a better future for their children, their determined clinging to life because life is holy, for those who pursue death, for people consumed by the desire for death for themselves and others, for our children and theirs. What a terrible mistake was made by miserable Europe.

Recently, the UK debated whether to remove The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it ‘offends’ the Muslim population which claims it never occurred. It is not removed as yet. However, this is a frightening portent of the fear that is gripping the world and how easily each country is giving in to it.

It is now approximately seventy years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, twenty million Russians, ten million Christians, and nineteen-hundred Catholic priests who were ‘murdered, raped, burned, starved and beaten, experimented on and humiliated. Now, more than ever, with Iran,
among others, claiming the Holocaust to be ‘a myth,’ it is imperative to make sure the world never forgets.

This e-mail is intended to reach 400 million people. Be a link in the memorial chain and help distribute this around the world.

How many years will it be before the attack on the World Trade Center ‘NEVER HAPPENED’ because it offends some Muslim in the United States? If our Judeo-Christian heritage is offensive to Muslims, they should pack up and move to Iran, Iraq or some other Muslim country.

Please do not just delete this message; it will take only a minute to pass this along. We must wake up America before it’s too late.

Re: TC Palm Bill – account management

Dear Mr. Brunjes:

My wife and I have subscribed to your newspaper for at least the last ten years.  Every quarter I pay our TC Palm bill online, however every time I go thru this process I have to call your technical support department to reset my password because your stupid ass system locks out ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT access to pay a bill every 3 weeks!  What moron designed this system?  I have never in all the years of working within the tech industry have ever had to do this.  What makes it even more idiotic is the fact that you can go back in and reset your password with the original one you have!!!   I was told by tech support that in order to avoid this password reset issue, I would have to access the account management part of your website every three weeks.  Now Mr. Brunjes, why would anyone go into their account management section every three weeks if we pay our bill every three months?!!!.  Stupid is an understatement here.   Here’s a quote from Donald Trump which I agree with one hundred percent of the time: “STUPID PEOPLE MAKING STUPID DECISIONS”.  This is exactly what your organization has done with this online account management system you set up.

In my conversation with your support tech I raised this issue and he was in total agreement that your security system in place for your customers who pay online was stupid.  I could not agree with him more.  He told me he gets the same frustrating calls from every customer who uses your online payment system.  Doesn’t this tell you something is wrong and it should be fixed?  Obviously this message goes on deaf ears because I have been screaming about this every time I go to pay my bill.  For years I have had to endure this and quite frankly I’ll just cancel my account and go to another paper then put up with this moronic designed piece of crap system you use.  It’s a waste of my time, frustrating and obviously designed by a jackass with a third grade diploma.  The real question here is sir, you are the one who is responsible because you are the President of this paper.  What are you going to do about it, just ignore it and it’s business as usual?  Maybe you should join the a**holes in Washington, they are really good at making stupid decisions just like your password inactivity lockout system which expires every three weeks.
