Dear Governor Kasich,
You have made a valiant effort, have run a semi-relevant campaign and tried your gosh darn hardest to convince the American people you would make a good president.
Now let’s get to reality.
Governor Kasich, you tried. No one disparages your accomplishments or how hard you have worked on this campaign. This valiant effort should be commended. And yet. Here we are. You are in fourth place. Yes fourth, for although Senator Marco Rubio suspended his campaign almost two months ago, he is still ahead of you. You aren’t catching up and at this point this Cruz/Kasich coalition has come a little late to the party. Where was the camaraderie when Marco Rubio suggested you promote him in Florida to beat Trump, while he was helping you win Ohio? The ego there was a clear indication of your character. Now all of a sudden when Trump is so close you decide to team up to stop him. You should have been doing that two months ago.
As ChrisAp over at ElementaryPolitics pointed out, “Never once have I heard him talk about reducing government because capitalism and private charity are a thousand times more effective at helping people than the government could ever be…no, no, none of that. He believes in the power of big government to help people.” He earlier in the same paragraph referred to you as a “Bleeding Heart.” The private sector can often do so much more than the government. This isn’t very conservative of you.
You’ve shown to us that you….really aren’t much of a conservative. During the debates a lot of your responses, especially early ones were full of emotional attachments. “My daughters. Feelings. My Daughters.” We’re glad you value and respect your family so much. Truly we do. But Conservatives deal in reality and in logic. Not feelings. There’s loss of voters right there. If you want to talk about your feelings, you should have run in the other party’s election. With your soft voice and desire to appeal to other people’s emotions…you might as well be. When people hear you expanded Obamacare, even it’s not exactly true no longer matters to the average voter.
After this, what is left for you to do? Well the answer is simple…drop out and give your delegates over to Cruz. I’m not Cruz’s biggest fan, and neither are a lot of people. But right now it is important to stick it to Trump and make it to a brokered convention. Suspending your campaign may be in your own best interest. It would certainly save you money and further stresses. You haven’t managed to go any further than you did when Rubio was still in this race and there was a debate on tv every other week. It is time Simba, to embrace the fact that you aren’t succeeding and try to help someone with a chance to at least prevent Trump from getting the necessary delegates. This election has turned into stopping Trump and if this is what you want to accomplish then do it. Show us! By doing the thing you really don’t want to do for the sake of America.
