We’re taking urgent action to defend the religious liberty of our brave soldiers TODAY.
Our troops are in the line of fire every day. They put their lives on the line to defend our freedoms.
Some have chosen to wear dog tags engraved with Bible verses such as Psalm 27:3 (“Though my enemies attack me, I will not fear . . . .”) or Joshua 1:9 (“Be strong and courageous . . . the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”). And, proud as they are of their Branch of Service, they want to wear dog tags with both their Service emblem and their choice of Bible verse.
An anti-Christian group demanded that the military ban Bible verses on dog tags that include military insignias. That group claims mixing the two violates the Establishment Clause. This is absolute nonsense.
Under pressure, the Army conceded, ordering an equipment supplier to strip “ALL biblical references” from dog tags and other military gear.
It’s an insult to our troops. We must defend those who defend us.
We’re fighting to have this ridiculous order rescinded.
TODAY, we are delivering our second Freedom of Information Act request – this time directly to the Army – to find out exactly who is behind this ban.
Our soldiers lay their lives on the line for our freedom. They have the right to carry their faith close to their hearts.
